Blog post is going to be a little bit different than what I am used to posting. I have decided to talk about what things that I like and don't like at Taco Bell and other random things. I promise these things get a little deeper.
Lately, I've been loving the triple steak stack which is just a flat bread with cheese and a bunch of steak. I love it, as well as the Baja Blast slushy, or, Baja Blast in general.
I think that I decided on the college that I'm going to go to in the fall; The University of Michigan-Dearborn. I came to this decision by many random occurances. The first is when I was working counter at my job, and somebody came in that actually went to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. We talked about colleges for a second, and I told him when I got accepted into Central, Eastern, Adrian, University of Michigan Dearborn, and Michigan State. I was torn between Michigan State and U of M Dearborn. He then asked me what's major that I wanted to go into, and I told him computer science. He told me that he has a friend that goes to University of Michigan Dearborn and does the same major that I want to do it he already got job offers in California, and even better, LA. It is secretly my dream to live in LA or the valley or something like that, so if I was able to get that same opportunity, I would definitely take it. Also, I spilled yellow paint on my Michigan State the next day. Those two things happening within 24 hours made my decision.
I don't really know if computer science is really what I want to go into, but that's what feels right at this moment in time.

Last two days have been really good for me. I had two snow days, and I did not work at all on Thursday, so I got important time to rest after a really busy last couple weeks that I've had. I am reading World War Z in my English class at Battle Creek Central. The class focuses on zombies, goals, and vampires. The class name is called "Dead and the Undead" and is graded as a English class at a college. I got really behind on the book, because of the play that I was in and working at Sweetwater's donut mill. I ended up taking somebody's shift because they quit, it is 4-9 5 days a week. I do not work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, because of the singles class that all of us are in right now. Also, I thought our personal narrative was due last Friday so I submitted it on Tuesday thinking that it was late. I just read the KCC email from her teacher and realize that it was due today. But I think that I have to turn it in as is, because I don't have time to edit it in 35 minutes.
This is for the blog post for last Friday. Although this year is my senior year in high school, I took senior-level Ingliss last year. The thing that I liked most to read was a play called "Fences." It was a bout an African-American family in the 1940s, and they went through struggles, like the fact that the sun really wanted to play football, but because he was black his parents did not support his decision to want to play football. Also, the husband cheated on his wife and got another girl pregnant, and I thought that was really weird because that's exactly what happened to our English teacher that year. Although in the play, the mom and the dad stayed together, despite this. I kind of gave students in my class but idea that you can get there anything in your relationship, and you do not have to resort to violence or anything of that nature. The thing that I hated the most to read, was Macbeth. Shakespeare plays don't make sense to me anyway, and it was even harder because we read this while he was on maternity leave and we watch the remake that was created in about two years ago. I still don't understand what happened.

Is for Monday's a blog post.Friday morning, I woke up at 5 o'clock to manage our schools blood drive all day. we ended up saving 228 people with the donations that we received. Each pint of blood saved three lives so that means that we had 76 units. I ran that from 6 AM to 4:30 PM and I also donated. I was really happy with the success of the blood drive, because it was scholarship day, which meant that my scholarship for being a officer member in the club depended on this blood drive. I planned on taking a two hour nap before going to dinner with our Play crew, however I was called into work while I was eating my Dairy Queen because somebody quit again. I ended up taking her shift which means I work 4 to 9 every day except for Tuesdays and Thursday so I can attend my English 151 class.my manager wants to change my schedule again though, because that means that she will never see me and that makes her sad. I mean who wouldn't be sad to not see me all the time? donating blood made me really drowsy though, because I slept for 13 hours that night and woke up at 11 the next day.

This weekend, I competed in our MIFA show at St. John's high school. There, we faced Grand Rapids Christian, East Grand Rapids, and St. John's high school and a four show competition. Grand Rapids Christian went first, and they did a so called the Tempest, which is known as William Shakespeare's last play that he written before he died. It's was excellently executed by the stage set up, make up and acting but I was very lost because I was unfamiliar with this show. I do not know what St. John's did because we had to do make up and eat lunch before their show because the regular lunchtime was during our show. We went third and St. John's watched out show two weeks ago so there wasn't as much applause and reactions in the crowd as there was before. East Grand Rapids performed the Grimm Brother's Spectacular which was all the fairytales put into a 45 minute production. They told us at the beginning of the day, that the top two schools won't go on to state finals. We came in second, however, we did not go to state finals because of a technicality with the scoring. With each judge, each judge is worth up to 90 points for us to be graded on you have to get an 85 twice at least to qualify to move on. We got an 80, 81, and an 83. However, my instructor was very mad because according to the rulebook, you can change your scorecard at the end of the day to accommodate with how many schools are supposed to go. Some of us and our team feel cheated, however I am not mad just for the simple fact that it is out of our hands.

A personal narrative is usually told to teach people a lesson or to give important information about something. i feel like they are almost a folk tale, just shared in a personal sense. For example, Sherman Alexie's narritive we read in class have us a lot of facts about the Indian writers/non-Indian riders, juxtaposing that Indian writers don't sell as many copies of books, in which other races write the same content of books. He added that to his narrative about his upbringing and heritage with an overall message of him not wanting to let his heritage get in the way of his daily life (since the word "Indian" has a negative connotation). Also, in Leonard Michaels', he too wanted to forget his past in "In the Fifties" where an overall lesson was to make your decisions purposeful. Both these ideas can be relatable to anyone, which surveys the purpose of telling them.

This weekend, of course, was when the snow emergency occurred for most of Southern Michigan. We got the most snow, which was 18.5 inches of snow. I was working from 9-6 and watched it all accumulate during the day by watching it outside the window.
My boss insisted we make more donuts, although for a Sunday, it was about completely dead due to the storm. There was no need to make even more, but we still did. My coworker Caylee, and I, made donuts till 1:30 and it took me till 3 o'clock to clean everything up, which included filling up all the filling pumps and icing bowls. I ended up making more directly afterward for the delivery donuts which also sucked. Usually, I do some of everything - counter, cleaning, and finishing the donuts. However, I only finished all day which was exhausting.
